Two dolphins were found near Sevastopol, they are being investigated as belonging to those released from the dolphinarium

In Crimea, the search continues for four bottlenose dolphins, which a few days ago were released by the owner of the dolphinarium, where they lived for 10 years, into the open sea.

On Wednesday, it became known that two dolphins were found near Sevastopol. This was reported at the Federal Research Center “Institute of Biology of the Southern Seas named after A. O. Kovalevsky RAS”, TASS reports.

The institute said that on November 9, employees of the institute’s biological station “recorded two bottlenose dolphins in shallow water near Laspi Bay.”

The discovered bottlenose dolphins “frolicked in the sea and hunted.”

However, whether these are the same dolphins that were released into the sea is not yet clear.

“Employees continue monitoring,” the institute said. They will transfer all information on the observed animals, as well as their pictures and videos, to the specialists of the Karadag scientific station, who participated in the search for discarded bottlenose dolphins.

Earlier, a video appeared in the Sevastopol public, in which people throw four dolphins into the sea in the area of ​​​​Victory Park.

The video caused a huge public outcry.

The authorities of Sevastopol organized a search operation. On the high seas, animals that are used to living in the care of people can die – they lack the skills to survive in the wild.

It became unprofitable for the owner of the dolphinarium to keep dolphins, he decided to get rid of them in this way.
