In the Chelyabinsk region, due to solar radiation, interference may occur on television and radio broadcasts. This is reported by URA.RU with reference to the press service of the Chelyabinsk mayor’s office.
As the press service explained, twice a year the Sun, a communications satellite and the receiving antenna of a TV or radio are aligned on the same line, resulting in interference during reception.
It is clarified that the interference continues for several minutes a day. On devices that receive a digital signal, they are felt much weaker than on analog television receivers.
