Realme’s confident march on the mobile market continues. Last month, the brand surpassed Apple and Samsung in terms of the number of smartphones sold combined. Such data on Russia was shared in MTS. Meanwhile, Counterpoint Research experts assessed the success of vendors in Europe in the second quarter – Realme has a leading growth rate. And this dynamics is seven times higher than that of Apple or Samsung. The rest of the brands went down the drain.
Does this mean that smartphones have generally become worse? Absolutely not. Rather, Realme products more accurately meet consumer needs. The latter are in a bad economic climate and geopolitical uncertainty, Counterpoint Research analysts are sure. In other words, people spend money on smartphones more discreetly. How the current situation will affect sales of Realme’s first tablet in Russia is difficult to predict, although during testing the device proved to be predictable.
Today, I would very much like to see displays with a picture frequency of at least 120 Hz in all mobile devices. In Realme Pad, this refresh rate is only available for touch recognition. The image on an IPS-matrix with a diagonal of 10 inches and a resolution of 2,000 by 1,200 pixels, the tablet changes no faster than 60 times per second. Questions about frequency arose for a reason. The manufacturer on the box of the device indicates that the Realme Pad is powered by the Mediatek Helio G80 gaming processor. And if the vendor is aiming at gamers, then it must take into account that they hit tattoos with the display frequency.
Seriously, the selected processor has no throttling, and the heating is negligible. True, synthetic tests showed a not too impressive level of performance. So games like Call of Duty: Mobile, for example, remain without high graphics settings. Appearance, the main and front cameras of 8 megapixels, the shell of the 11th Android, sound with support for Hi-Res and Dolby Atmos, as well as a battery with a capacity of 7,100 mAh, give out a hardened middle peasant in a tablet. This is usually the first choice for children or for everyday entertainment.
