Two Internet companies must act as co-defendants of the musician
The head of the religious organization, Alexander Morozov, is going to recover 15 million rubles from rapper Basta (real name Vasily Vakulenko) and two Internet companies as compensation for moral damages. The corresponding lawsuit was recently registered by the Meshchansky District Court of the capital.
From the copy of the document handed over to the editorial office of MK, it follows that, according to Morozov, the defendants are distributing informational materials containing obscene language. Thus, they offend human dignity, demonstrate disrespect for society and state authorities. Morozov claims that the doctrine of information security of Russia, the laws “On the Rights of Consumers” and “On Freedom of Conscience and on Religious Associations” are being violated. In support of his words, he quotes from the Bible and the Koran.
As an argument, the plaintiff attaches links to 35 Internet videos in which Vakulenko’s guests (top bloggers, comedians, and other popular personalities) answer tricky questions from viewers. According to Morozov, all these videos offend both himself and other native speakers of the Russian language.
The plaintiff demanded 5 million rubles from each of the three defendants, the removal of content from the channels and a written apology. For Basta, he provided for the most severe punishment: 33 times publicly aloud and with expression, observing punctuation marks, read out the court decision made in the case and post the recording on his YouTube channel instead of deleted videos with profanity.
