Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his opinion on the problem of abortion in the country and raised the question of how to solve it.
At a meeting with the new composition of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, the head of state noted the severity of the problem of abortion and listed possible solutions.
Putin mentioned the ban on the sale of drugs that terminate pregnancy and, in contrast to this path, called for an improvement in the socio-economic situation in the country, an increase in the level of well-being, wages, social services and assistance to young families in purchasing housing.
The president’s speech was interrupted by applause from the audience. Despite this, Vladimir Putin continued to list examples of effective social mechanisms, such as assistance to young student families and support for motherhood and childhood.
According to the president, in Russia there are many different areas to support motherhood and childhood.
