Most Russians condemn rioters at Makhachkala airport

The majority of Russians (60%) condemn the participants in the recent riots at Makhachkala airport, showed survey VTsIOM. At the same time, three out of four respondents (79%) are sure that they were organized, only every tenth considers them to be spontaneous actions (10%). The most popular answers to the question of who was the organizer: Western intelligence services (26%), Ukrainian intelligence services (13%) or leaders among dissatisfied Muslims in Dagestan (11%). The majority of respondents consider the participants in the riots to be criminals who disrupted the operation of the airport (27%) or accomplices of enemies whose actions are aimed at destabilizing the situation in the country (26%).

Almost every second respondent is in favor of harsh punishment for the rioters at the airport, every third was against it, and every fifth was undecided. Let us add that President Putin, commenting events in Makhachkala at a meeting with the new composition of the Public Chamber on November 3, noted that they should be responded to “in accordance with the law.”
