Putin instructed to restore housing damaged by shelling in the border regions

Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government, together with the authorities of the regions bordering Ukraine, to develop a plan to restore the housing of Russians who suffered as a result of shelling by the armed forces of Ukraine. The list of presidential instructions was compiled following the meeting of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights (HRC), held on December 7, 2022.

“The government of the Russian Federation, together with the executive authorities of the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk and Rostov regions, to determine approaches to the restoration of housing for citizens of the Russian Federation … lost as a result of shelling by armed groups of Ukraine and terrorist acts,” the list published press service Kremlin.

Vladimir Putin appointed Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and the governors of the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk and Rostov regions Vyacheslav Gladkov, Alexander Bogomaz, Roman Starovoit and Vasily Golubev as responsible for the execution of the order. They must submit the relevant report by April 1 of the current year.

Today the Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov informedthat out of 540 households in the border village of Zhuravlevka, 283 have been destroyed, some of them will be demolished, since they cannot be restored. Yesterday, January 12, Mr. Gladkov said that in another Shebekinsky urban district of the Belgorod region, which borders Ukraine, 409 residential premises were damaged by shelling.
