Head of State Vladimir Putin, as part of his congratulations to the citizens of the Russian Federation on Transport Worker's Day, spoke about the important, system-forming role of the transport industry in the development of Russian regions.
According to him, the transport complex contributes to improving the economy and social sphere, enhancing the quality of life of Russians. Putin noted that millions of specialists in the industry are professionals in their field who work with full dedication.
The President of the Russian Federation called this a reliable basis for solving problems in modernizing infrastructure, the emergence of promising directions for passenger transportation and international cargo logistics corridors.
The President also pointed out the importance of transforming the historically Russian regions of Donbass and Novorossiya into a single transport framework of the country.
“It is necessary to widely use advanced domestic technologies, introduce strict environmental standards and effective public-private partnership mechanisms, improve the personnel training system and industry education,” the Russian leader said.
