Putin announced the launch of two new national projects: “Youth of Russia” and “Personnel”

One of the central topics of the president’s speech was education. Putin spoke about new fixed payments for teachers, programs for “educational construction” of buildings and complexes from universities to kindergartens, as well as two new national projects related to education.

“The aspirations of the younger generation are a guarantee of Russia’s sovereignty,” the president began. And he said that to improve youth policy, a new national project “Youth of Russia” had been adopted.

Speaking about school, Putin first of all remembered the “selfless work” of teachers. And he said that from September 1, 2024, a payment of 5,000 rubles will be established for all advisers to directors in schools and colleges. And for those class teachers and mentors in schools, colleges, and technical schools who work in small towns with a population of less than 100 thousand, this payment will be 10 thousand rubles.

The President recalled that in terms of teachers’ incomes, it is necessary to “improve the remuneration system and implement the so-called May decrees.” And he added that to motivate young specialists, more than 9 billion rubles will be spent on updating the infrastructure of pedagogical universities.

“There are different salaries in the regions, and the work of state employees – teachers, doctors – is equally difficult,” the president said. And he promised that by 2025 a pilot program for a new teacher remuneration system would be launched, and by 2026 it would be implemented throughout Russia.

Rapid construction in cities leads to the fact that some schools are overcrowded and work in two and three shifts. At least 150 schools and 100 kindergartens will be built by 2030 using the federal budget.

An acute problem is old, dilapidated buildings of educational institutions. Putin noted that 18.5 thousand schools are still awaiting major repairs.

“We will help the regions completely repair them by 2030,” the president promised. – And then continue as planned. More than 400 billion rubles have been additionally allocated for kindergartens and schools.

They haven’t forgotten about medical offices in schools – according to his data, now only 65% ​​of schools have them. Also, the cultural project “Pushkin Map” will be expanded for schoolchildren.

No less large-scale changes await students. The President announced the creation of another new national project dedicated to the training of specialists “in the field of engineering, defense industry, medicine, pedagogy,” etc., called “Personnel.” Now 8 billion have been allocated for it, and more will follow. And he reminded everyone that the success of a particular educational institution is calculated by the percentage of employment and the level of salaries of graduates.

“From school to university, in a single logic,” said the president. – Career guidance has already begun in all schools. Let enterprises, scientific and medical centers invite schoolchildren. They lead and show workshops, museums, laboratories.

The President recalled the construction of campuses of the future – a program to create 25 campuses of the future is being implemented, 8 have already been built. During the address, Putin said that it was decided to increase this figure to 40.

Just like teachers in schools, the president especially noted teachers of fundamental disciplines in universities, who usually give lectures in the first years. It was decided to increase the level of remuneration for their labor at the federal level. Already from September 1, 1.5 billion will be allocated from the budget for these purposes, and another 4.5 billion – subsequently. In addition, it was decided to extend the Priority 2030 program for six years and allocate an additional 160 billion rubles for it.

In addition to this, engineering schools will be created, a whole network throughout the country. AI will be actively used in education, in particular, the network of libraries will be modernized and turned into digital centers, for which 9 billion rubles are planned from the budget.
