Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with the election headquarters on March 18, promised to resolve bureaucratic issues that do not allow medical students to undergo internships in the military special operation zone in Ukraine.

Co-chairman of the headquarters, head physician of the Moscow 52nd hospital, Maryana Lysenko, told the president that in preparation for the elections she visited medical universities in almost all regions of the country, and students, according to her, have a request for practice in the North Military District zone and front-line hospitals.

“They do this as volunteers, but they are not counted as practice; we have already discussed this issue with the Ministry of Health. Can this be resolved?” asked Maryana Lysenko. “All this can be done,” the president replied (quoted by TASS).

Head of the State Duma Committee on Youth Policy Artem Metelev February 24, 2024 reported in his Telegram channel that in 7 regions 437 medical volunteers provide assistance in hospitals, in 24 regions volunteers over 55 years of age provide psychological support to commissioned soldiers.
