The widow of opposition leader Alexei Navalny, Yulia, could have come to Russia to see her husband, but chose to stay abroad, the Russian president’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said. The oppositionist served a 19-year sentence in a special regime colony in Kharp. The medical certificate stated natural causes of death. On March 1, Navalny was buried at the Borisov cemetery in Moscow.
