Paralympic veteran from Pskov Dmitry Yushchenko became one of the winners of the Cybathletics competition. “MK in Pskov” was informed about this by the press service of the city administration. Competitions among combat veterans took place from December 17 to 20 in Moscow.
Dmitry Yushchenko is a member of the Paralympic team. He became the first person in Russia to run a marathon on a prosthesis.
The man lost his leg while serving in 2024. He put on a prosthesis and became a successful athlete. Now he is active on social networks, where he shows by his example how to overcome difficulties. At the suggestion of the branch of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation in the Pskov region, he conducts Courage Lessons for schoolchildren.
