Professor Gundarov: “In China, the outbreak is not of a virus, but of social psychosis”

At this stage, humanity cannot eradicate covid

What is happening in China today defies any logic at all. Maybe it’s something we don’t understand? If not politically, then medically? Maybe these now wild, in our opinion, methods of “zero tolerance” for coronavirus somehow work?

Is it possible in principle to defeat the virus by closing cities, filling concentration camps with healthy and sick people, wearing overalls around the clock by the whole nation, forced testing, more reminiscent of violence?..

We asked Igor Gundarov, Doctor of Medical Sciences, a specialist in epidemiology, professor, chief researcher at the Research Institute of Public Health and Healthcare Management of the Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy, about this.

– Igor Alekseevich, from the point of view of epidemiology, can you somehow explain and justify what is happening today in China?

– It seems to me that for the first time in history we are witnessing such a phenomenon as a total medical psychosis, a social psychosis of the schizoid type.

There can be no practical benefit from what is happening. The virus can’t be defeated that way. But personally, it seems to me that the authorities cannot consciously and in their right mind do something that catastrophically worsens the situation of the country, causes discontent among the population, and leads to an economic, political, and demographic crisis. And here, not some globalists or Bill Gates are involved, not some external rulers, but the Chinese authorities themselves have sowed insane fear in society and are now delusional about how to deal with the virus.

– Well, maybe they really think they should have a zero-tolerance policy for covid? Will masks or costumes help in this case?

– No, they won’t help. All these masks, as we remember, have never been able to stop the real spread of the coronavirus anywhere.

– What will happen to the immune system if all the time to destroy the viruses around you?

– Reducing contact with viruses really slows down the development of one’s own immunity. I think that today’s measures will not have a significant impact on the protection of the body in the future.

– And the stress that people literally driven into traps can affect their health?

– Of course, this all has its negative impact.

– But in general, is it possible to eradicate a virus, not necessarily COVID-19, but any other?

– I think that at this stage of human development, no one can do it.

– And yet, based on today’s incidence figures, is there an outbreak in China or not?

– There is no flash. There is an exacerbation of social psychosis and nothing more. There is absolutely no objective reason to close everything again and behave this way. Everything that happens in China has nothing to do with preventive measures.
