The Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education supported the proposal of Senator Irina Rukavishnikova, who suggested showing Russian schoolchildren documentaries about participants in a special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine. The newspaper reported “News” with reference to the official responses of departments.
“The Ministry of Culture of Russia is ready to assist in holding a week of modern documentary films, which involves viewing films by students of educational organizations dedicated to the heroes of a special military operation,” the ministry’s official response says.
The Ministry of Education reported that they are also ready to support the initiative “if there are relevant expert opinions.” The department did not explain what kind of expert opinions they are talking about.
The Ministry of Culture added that from 2023 documentary films about the NWO will be screened in converted cinema halls in settlements with a population of up to 500,000 people as part of the Culture national project. Four documentaries about the NWO were released in such cinemas: “Donbass. Close people” (fees about 0.7 million rubles, more than 10 thousand viewers), “Donbass. Recognized” (about 25 thousand rubles, 185 spectators), “Where is the border?” (more than 5.8 million rubles, more than 41 thousand viewers), Donbass. Reserve Regiment “(more than 19 thousand rubles, 133 spectators)”.
Earlier, Irina Rukavishnikova proposed to hold a week of modern documentary films for schoolchildren in September, where documentaries about the NWO will be shown. State Duma deputy Yana Lantratova came up with a similar initiative. She suggested showing schoolchildren video interviews with SVO participants.
