The chief referee of the match between Zenit and Spartak, Sergei Karasev, should not have counted the goal in red and white. This opinion was expressed by the chairman of the board of the St. Petersburg football club, Alexander Medvedev, writes RIA Novosti.

According to him, Alexander Sobolev played along with his hand before taking the ball on his chest and passing the goal.

Nevertheless, the St. Petersburg team beat Spartak with a score of 2:1. The match took place the day before. The next game will take place in the city on the Neva from April 16 to 18.

Medvedev previously responded to the Spartak player’s attempt to violate his pre-match ritual. More details in our material.
