Planetarium for a school in Usolye-Sibirsky

This school is known in the city of Usolye-Sibirskoye for its strong pedagogical traditions and high categorization of teachers. The school, built in 1970, has 730 students and 69 employees.

Director Olga Matveeva has been running it for 20 years. She herself was once a local graduate, just like many teachers. He knows the school from top to bottom. The heating system here is one of the weak points. Some rooms feel cold in winter. So this time the repair touched the heating system of the old building.

The school included in the program also received substantial funds for equipment. 11 classrooms were equipped, a modern 3D computer, a mini-planetarium were bought. The school in each parallel has one class of children with disabilities – and for them it was possible to facilitate the educational process, for example, equipment was purchased for the school speech therapist. In addition, the school was able to afford musical equipment for concert programs. Sports equipment, a kitchen for girls’ classes, as well as a security system, alerts, and a pass system have also been updated.

“There are two schools in the district participating in this program – No. 10 and 6. In school No. 10, the entire heating system is being repaired. But the equipment caused special delight among teachers, parents and children. This school combines a dining room and an assembly hall – 52 years ago, in many schools, public spaces were designed in this way. And no one’s hand has ever touched this. This year, the stage has acquired a new look, backstage, a screen, a modern tribune with equipment have appeared. I was surprised that when the 3D laboratory for the technology room arrived, it turned out that teachers are able to work with the latest equipment,” Marina Pankova, Deputy Mayor of Usolye-Sibirskoye, shared her impressions.
