Participation in a special military operation will be taken into account as an individual achievement for admission to Russian colleges. An order of this content was published by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation on Wednesday, November 15.

The document makes adjustments to the Procedure for admission to educational programs of secondary vocational education.

In October, the head of the working group on Northern Military District issues, Secretary of the General Council of United Russia, Andrei Turchak, presented a report to the head of state, Vladimir Putin. with initiatives to support special operation participants. Turchak recalled that the regions are implementing the Unified Standard of Regional Support Measures for SVO participants and members of their families, which includes 20 different types of assistance.

For example, in Yakutia, since September 2023, the “SVOi” project has been implemented, within the framework of which students of general education organizations from grades 9 to 11, whose parents or legal representatives are in the special operation zone, can get a working profession for free according to selected specialties.
