Rospotrebnadzor for the Perm Territory conducts epidemiological investigation into food poisoning of participants of the V All-Russian festival-competition of children’s amateur circus groups. According to preliminary data, 15 hospitalized participants were diagnosed with norovirus infection.
The V All-Russian festival-competition of children’s amateur circus groups was part of the program of the 300th anniversary of Perm. The event was attended by 168 children aged from five to 18 years from 15 regions of the country. Six festival participants sought medical attention last night. Later, their number grew to 15, all of them were hospitalized with signs of norovirus infection. Doctors assess their condition as stable.
Rospotrebnadzor specialists inspected the catering units where food was prepared, took swabs from surfaces and samples of raw materials. The organizer of the festival, the State Budgetary Institution “Center for the Implementation of Projects in the Sphere of Culture,” announced the cancellation of the gala concert of the festival planned for today.
