According to Biryukov, in the period from 2020 to 2021, as part of the first stage, Koshtoyants and Semenov-Tyan-Shansky streets, part of Mikhail Pevtsov Street, a section of Vernadsky Avenue in front of the Vernadsky business center were updated, and at the second stage, Udaltsova Street entered the improvement zone .
The deputy mayor noted that the main task was to create convenient pedestrian routes from residential areas to the new station and the park named after the 50th anniversary of October. He pointed out that overhead wires were removed into a 14.5-kilometer cable duct, which improved the visual appearance of the space and ensured the safe operation of communications.
Biryukov also said that as part of the project, sidewalks were expanded and their surface was replaced, the asphalt on the roadway was updated, and in addition, three traffic lights and two new ground crossings with contrasting lighting supports were installed on Udaltsova Street, and in the adjacent territory In turn, 130 energy-efficient lamps and floor lamps were installed at Vernadsky Avenue.
The deputy mayor said that during the improvement, the number of parking spaces was also increased, six stopping pavilions were installed for public transport passengers, and landscaping was carried out at the final stage of the improvement.
