Parents of Donetsk schoolchildren are afraid: not everyone will get 10,000 “from Putin”

Putin instructed to pay 10,000 rubles by the New Academic Year to schoolchildren in the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye, Kharkiv and Kherson regions.

But will everyone get the money? Although the presidential order states that payments are due to everyone who “starts studying,” local officials rephrased: they are supposedly talking only about those who go to school full-time.

But what about the evacuated students or those who switched to distance due to constant shelling? Will they not be given anything?

Verbatim. President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin instructed the Russian government to provide payments in the amount of 10 thousand rubles to families raising children aged 6 to 18 years. Parents and legal representatives of underage students are entitled to them, payments will be accrued for each child and received no later than October 1, 2022. All. With no exceptions. No more additions and allegories.

But this is where discrepancies begin on the ground, which greatly alarmed Donetsk parents.

At the briefing, Olga Koludarova, Minister of Education and Science of the Donetsk People’s Republic, emphasized that the key word needed to receive the presidential cash bonus is “go to school”: “Payments are due to parents of children who go to school. The required keyword is “go”. Every parent, legal representative for each of their children who will attend educational institutions, namely school, has the right to receive ten thousand rubles” (there is a video where she talks about this).

The president’s order clearly states – “will start learning”, which implies any form of obtaining knowledge. Full-time. Correspondence. Family. Remote.

In the words of the minister literally: “The key word is “go”.

That is, this money from the president, based on her words, is only for those who attend educational institutions of Donbass in person – this is how the parents interpreted the minister’s clarification.

But the whole problem is that not everyone will “go” to their native schools in the Donbass.

Due to the ongoing shelling, many students will study remotely. Online learning, for example, is most likely waiting for Donetsk, Gorlovka, Makeevka, children there definitely won’t shine on September 1. And it’s not a fact that many will literally sit down at their desks by the 15th – the deadline for processing documents for help.

“We won’t even have a roll call at our school,” one of the fathers writes in a parent chat. – Yesterday there was an arrival at the school on the football field, so the face-to-face meeting was canceled. Maybe we can write on social networks or call.

On top of that, in recent months, many small residents of Donbass have been evacuated. They did not change their permanent residence permits, but now they do not physically live at home and they will go to schools completely different, in other regions. Should they be given what the president promised or not?

It is also unclear from the words of the Donetsk minister.

“I have a son with my grandmother in the Crimea. How long he will be there, we don’t know yet. Teachers offer to fill out and send an application for payments, but only on paper. At the same time, teachers cannot clearly explain why the school is not able to submit lists of students on its own, and why parents cannot fill out an application electronically, and not depend on the work of the post office,” one of the Donetsk mothers worries.

“It seems to me that it doesn’t matter at all whether the children started studying remotely or in person. They also need stationery, notebooks, sketchbooks. plasticine, etc., so no financial assistance will be superfluous. Moreover, as far as I understand, this money has already been allocated to the account of the republic. So where are they?

“Why is there a division into those living under shelling and those living in quiet areas? – writes another Donetsk woman. “At the same time, those who are in relatively calm territory come out, even in a better position than those who are waiting for arrival every day.”

Some parents complain that the situation with free textbooks is incomprehensible. For several years in a row they were sent from Russia, and they did this important work without too much fanfare, quietly and in fact. In the same year, there was a loud advertisement on television that Russian books were going to schools. They demonstrated the best school in the city, where they have already received them. But, according to some mothers, the benefits have not yet reached many other educational institutions. “Teachers say that if the textbooks do not arrive, they will have to repeat the material they have learned at first, which, of course, is a shame.”

Unlike schoolchildren, who are still in limbo, it is absolutely certain that all Donetsk universities will study online. Until better times. But since payments from the president do not shine for adults, the Donetsk youth is not particularly worried about the distance. It is necessary – it is necessary.

Although many final-year students who were taken away from the military registration and enlistment office on the agenda ask themselves the question: how can they write and defend a diploma and generally master the program, because in the war zone it’s clearly not up to distance, and far from everyone went to the academy?

In any case, Donetsk residents hope for a constructive dialogue with officials and for the absence of a damaged phone, so that all the money from Putin for children will arrive on time and in full. After all, children are sacred.
