French sociologist and philosopher Bruno Latour has died at the age of 75, the Monde newspaper reported.
The sociologist, anthropologist and philosopher died on the night of October 9 after a long struggle with a serious illness, referring to Latour’s relatives, the newspaper writes.
He was, as emphasized in the message, one of the most outstanding French contemporary thinkers.
In 1987, Latour published Science in Action: Following Scientists and Engineers Within the Community, which has been recognized as one of the most significant texts in the sociology of science and technology.
