“Now it will always be warm in the house”: why gasification is good for Kirov residents

The Filimonov family of pensioners from the village of Bolshoi Perelaz, Kumensky District, switched from stove to gas heating a couple of months ago and have already experienced all the benefits of natural gas. Mostly older people live in the village, in stove houses. And if quite recently at the entrance to the village there was smoke, and almost every house had a pile of firewood, today the picture is completely different – the narrow streets and adjacent territories are decorated with yellow gas pipes.

“We have been living in the Bolshoy Perelaz all our lives, and my wife and I have worked at the school all our lives, we know everyone here,” said Mikhail Filimonov. – Our history of gasification is exceptionally positive. Back in 2017, information passed through the village that there would be gas. The launch of the gasification program was also announced. Then my wife Anastasia Ivanovna and I bought a gas boiler and began to wait. We have old stoves in our house, it is not easy to heat stone walls, it takes a lot of firewood, especially in cold weather. Sawing, chopping, carrying firewood becomes more and more difficult over the years, children live far away, plus there is more than enough cleaning from firewood. Time passed, we already thought it would be delayed, maybe the boiler should be sold. They returned to the issue of gasification only in September 2022. After the arrival of the governor of the region Alexander Sokolov, the story began to spin very quickly. Already on February 20, they stood in line, we were in no hurry, after a month and a half they informed us that the house was being connected, and on March 31 we were already gasified! I would like to thank the specialists of gas companies – they arrived promptly, worked all day, smoothly, clearly. Now we are overjoyed at the heat and are very grateful that gas has reached us!

I am glad that everything is simple and clear with connecting the house to gas

The family of Vasily Yuferev, who lives in the village of Boni, Kirov Region, connected gas to their house as part of the aftergasification program.

Not so long ago, the family acquired a plot in the village of Boni and soon began to equip and repair the house.

“For us, gas heating is preferable, because it is a cheap energy fuel, and with the acquisition of a plot, gas became necessary for our family,” said Vasily Yuferev. – From acquaintances and from the media, we learned that a program of social gasification is being implemented in the country, and in our region in particular, studied in detail the information about which houses participate in the program, what is needed for this, and decided to take part in an accelerated mode in a programme. There were doubts whether the story would drag on, whether everything would be done efficiently and on time.

Then we submitted an application to the gas distribution company, and a positive decision was made on it. There was very little left. Literally within 2-3 days, all the necessary documents indicated by the specialist were completed and attached to the application. I am glad that everything was clear from the documentation and there were no difficulties.

Already two months after the submission of the application, after its registration, a pipe was installed at the site, and in the shortest possible time (about two weeks), the specialists of the regional branch of the Gazprom company gasified our household – let gas through the pipes on the site. Now the house will always be warm, comfortable and cozy for many years. Of course, there were many doubts, especially at the initial stage. Gasification is underway in the region, we read the news, hear from friends. Gas solves a whole range of problems at once: firewood is laborious, dirty, uncomfortable, electricity is expensive, especially for the regional center.

Everything was done in just a couple of days.

Zuevka is located more than two hours drive from the regional center. Local residents were looking forward to the appearance of blue fuel in their homes. This issue was especially relevant for older people, in whose houses the main source of heating is firewood.

“Of course, everyone has heard about the gasification program for the region, and very distant regions of our country are being gasified,” said a resident of Zuevka Elena Andrianova. – For many years we have been waiting for the appearance of gas at least in neighboring areas, this would mean that progress will reach us. When once again they started talking about the fact that the village would be supplied with gas, we didn’t even believe it right away. Nevertheless, we finally got such a necessary, long-awaited gas! It did not even require additional appeals to the authorities, everything went quickly and without problems. I am very glad that my house was connected to gas heating. Many thanks to the team that carried out the work on the street and in the house, namely the team of the Kirovo-Chepetsky section! Literally within three days everything was done in the best possible way. I really want to thank everyone!
