FSB stopped an attempt to export hundreds of icons to Ukraine

Employees of the Office of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation for the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), with the assistance of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation for the Southern Military District, discovered more than 100 Orthodox icons in the north of the LPR, which the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were going to take to the territory controlled by Kiev.
The FSB noted that over 100 Orthodox icons were found through the joint efforts of intelligence officers in one of the former offices of the Ukrainian company for the delivery and transportation of goods, located in the north of the region.
The department pointed out that the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the spring of last year, during active battles in the north of the Republic, planned to export the discovered relics to private individuals on the territory under the control of Kiev.
