On August 29, NASA announced the postponement of the Artemis 1 lunar mission scheduled for that day due to problems with one of the four engines of the Space Launch System (SLS) super-heavy launch vehicle. The next possible launch date is September 2nd.

Artemis 1 is part of the American lunar program Artemis (“Artemis”), which aims to land a man on the moon by 2025. The Artemis 1 unmanned mission should last 26–42 days. During the flight, the launch of ten small CubeSat satellites is also planned. If successful, the Artemis 2 mission with a crew on board should head to the Moon in 2024.
