Muscovites promised after midnight snow charges

Snow is expected in the capital after midnight. They will continue until 6 am, and a crust of ice will appear on the roads. Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist of the Phobos weather center, announced this.
A warm atmospheric front associated with the North Atlantic cyclone, according to the forecaster, crossed the western borders of the Russian Federation in the morning. Now it is located 350 kilometers from Moscow.
Along the dividing line of air masses, a wide – up to 150-200 kilometers – band of frontal rain clouds is observed. Moving deep into the Russian Plain, the air will gradually cool due to the cold surface. Consequently, the precipitation will go into a mixed phase.
In the suburbs, sleet, according to the forecast of a meteorologist, will begin at 21:00 in the western regions. In the capital itself, snow charges are expected after midnight, they will peak at 3 am. And they will stop when Muscovites start to wake up – by 6 in the morning.
As a result of precipitation and near-zero temperatures, as Tishkovets said, an ice crust will appear. Motorists should be careful during the next day. During the day, the ice is expected to melt, in general, as predicted, a powerful weekly warming will start.
