Training courses for sisters of mercy will open in the Stavropol Territory

In the Stavropol Territory, from November 7, courses will begin to train sisters of mercy to help doctors in hospitals. A special training program for volunteers “wishing to gain first aid skills” was developed by the regional Ministry of Health on behalf of the regional government.
As Kommersant was told at the Ministry of Health, the courses will be held in two stages: initially at the Center for Disaster Medicine, and then at several regional medical colleges in Stavropol, Budennovsk, Pyatigorsk and Kislovodsk.
In Stavropol, the first group will begin classes at the Stavropol Regional Clinical Emergency Station and the Stavropol Basic Medical College on November 7th. The training program includes two courses: “Basics of General Patient Care” and “First Aid to Victims in Emergencies (Tactical Medicine)”. Volunteer training will take place at an accelerated pace throughout the week. As specified in the Ministry of Health of the Territory, all classes will be held free of charge, and after completing the course, students will receive a certificate of the established form.
Regional doctors assure that the knowledge gained will be useful to volunteers “who are ready to help army doctors provide medical and psychological assistance to military personnel in medical institutions and military hospitals”, as well as in civilian life “if necessary, provide first aid to others” and those who provide assistance at home in patient care.
The training course is a week. Training will take place in groups of 15-20 people. Anyone who has reached the age of 18 and graduated from high school can become students of the courses.
