Muscovites played the final chord of the Spartakiad

The Moscow national team became the best in the artistic gymnastics competition of the All-Russian Spartakiad in summer sports, which ended in Kazan.

“Moskovskaya Pravda” has already reported on the success of the capital’s gymnasts in the team all-around for men and women, however, they were at their best in personal: Nikita Nagorny and Victoria Listunova celebrated the victory. By the way, both won the competition in the vault, and Listunova also won on the uneven bars. The initiative of fellow countrymen was supported by Diana Kustova on the balance beam.

Other winners of the Spartakiad in certain events were Kirill Prokopyev (Vladimir Region, floor exercises), Sergey Naidin (Altai Territory, horse and crossbar), Grigory Klimentiev (Penza Region, rings), Daniel Marinov (Republic of Tatarstan, uneven bars), Angelina Melnikova (Voronezh area, floor exercises).

Gymnastics competitions completed the program of the All-Russian Spartakiad, in which about 10,000 athletes from 82 regions took part. The Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Oleg Matytsin stated: “It was not so easy for our leading athletes, Olympic champions to maintain leadership, and we see great motivation for young athletes to join the Russian team. It is important that the government of the country made a decision to reward the winners of the Spartakiad and their coaches.”
