Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko described the situation in terms of the number of medical workers in scarce areas as “extremely tense”.
Murashko clarified that growth in such scarce areas as cardiologists and local therapists is underway, but in other areas, “just a change in approaches” is needed. As an example, the minister cited anesthesiologists-resuscitators.
The number of places for targeted admission of medical students is increasing, Murashko said at a meeting with the Just Russia – For Truth faction in the State Duma.
