Movement “Spring” included in the list of extremists and terrorists

Viasna is prohibited from holding rallies, participating in elections, and using bank deposits, with the exception of paying fines. On the day the lawsuit was filed, Viasna reported that the prosecutor’s office and the court could not stop the work of the movement. Recall that “Spring” is not officially registered.
The Vesna website was blocked back in May 2022. The movement explained this with a May 9 action called “They didn’t fight for this.” The Russians were encouraged to participate in the actions of the Immortal Regiment, signing photos of participants in the Great Patriotic War with anti-war slogans.
On October 6, the Ministry of Justice recognized two Viasna activists, Bohdan Lytvyn and Tymofiy Martynenko, as natural persons acting as foreign agents. They were recognized as foreign agents for “carrying out political activities” while receiving funding from Ukraine.
After the outbreak of the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Vesna began organizing anti-war rallies and calling for participation in them. The movement was founded in 2013 as a St. Petersburg association of Youth Yabloko, the youth movement Oborona and the democratic movement Solidarity.
