The Moscow traffic police calls for a ban on minors from riding electric scooters. This was stated by the deputy head of the capital’s State Traffic Inspectorate, Evgeny Loginovsky, at a round table in the Moscow City Duma.
According to him, it is necessary “as quickly as possible” to ban the use of personal mobility devices (PIMs) for minors.
Loginovsky indicated that over the 10 months of 2023, 805 accidents involving SIM occurred in the capital, of which 200 occurred in October. Three people died. In 271 accidents, the participants were teenagers, and in 213 cases they were under 16 years of age.
