“Moscow Technical School” opened a new course on additive technologies in production

“ITSH” opens a set for a new course. It was created by MAI employees. Engineers will be able to gain basic skills in the field of product prototyping, as well as learn how to apply computer technology in production. The program is designed for professionals with higher and secondary education. Registration for the course is available on the project website.

“Today, additive technologies and, in particular, 3D printing, are rapidly developing and are becoming in demand in various areas of industrial production, medicine, and construction. At the same time, companies operating in these areas experience a shortage of highly qualified specialists with skills and experience in working with modern technologies. In order to solve the personnel issue and provide enterprises with engineers of a new formation, ITS launched a direction on additive technologies, developed jointly with leading universities and companies of the city. For example, in partnership with the Moscow Aviation Institute, an online course was created on the introduction of additive technologies in high-tech production,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.

During the course, students will be able to develop competencies in the application of geometric modeling systems and product prototyping. The program includes information on modern ways of manufacturing products. Engineers will be trained in ABS and PLA printing technologies.
