The capital’s manufacturer supplied an industrial 3D printer to Russia’s first public additive technology center. Details were provided by the Moscow Government Minister, Head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy, Vladislav Ovchinsky.
“The Lasers and Equipment group of companies equipped the Izhevsk Center for Public Access Additive Technologies with an industrial 3D printer for printing with metal powders. The laser installation will be used to develop additive technologies, as well as to train students and technical specialists from industrial enterprises in the region,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky. He recalled that the technologies of Moscow industrialists are used throughout the country and abroad.
The ML6 3D printer creates products from metal powders of stainless steel, nickel and cobalt-chromium alloys, aluminum and bronze. The device runs on open source software, which allows you to customize modes and work with various materials.
“Since we often supply products along with the development of technology, we see that for end consumers, the presence of centers of this kind, equipped with Russian equipment, such as the opened TsATOD in Izhevsk, makes it possible to quickly and efficiently introduce modern technologies into production,” said the group’s executive director companies Anna Tsygantsova.
The CATAC opened in Izhevsk will carry out production and educational tasks in the field of additive technologies.
