Moscow is fully implementing the President’s instructions to preserve cultural heritage sites

The Moscow government is already actively working to preserve Russian cultural heritage sites, the program of which was previously announced by Head of State Vladimir Putin during his address to the Federal Assembly.
The chairman of the commission on urban management and housing policy of the Moscow City Duma, Stepan Orlov, in a conversation with the Moscow City News Agency, noted: “The order to analyze the regulatory framework in the field of protection and use of cultural heritage sites is really necessary.” “We can’t hesitate – as monuments collapse, they disappear irrevocably,” he emphasized.
The Moscow government, according to Orlov, is already actively working to preserve Russian cultural heritage sites. A large-scale program for the preservation of cultural heritage is currently being implemented in the capital. During the period 2011–2023, about 2 thousand 200 architectural monuments were restored in Moscow, including 220 objects in 2023.
The parliamentarian recalled plans for 2024: there are about 500 objects on the list, and the work will be diverse; both ancient buildings and monuments of modern times will have to be restored.
