More than 6.5 thousand Stavropol schoolchildren will take part in the finals of the Duiball Championship

In Stavropol on Friday, November 24, the festival of health and sports “Strong in Spirit” will take place. Its main event will be the final of the Duyball Championship for the Cup of the Regional Branch of the Movement of the First of the Stavropol Territory.
Let us remind you that duiball is a competitive form of breathing exercises. In the Stavropol Territory, this sport began its development in 2000. The competition involves propelling a tennis ball along a certain shaped channel using the force of breathing. This type of breathing exercise develops proper diaphragmatic breathing and improves health.
More than 6.5 thousand schoolchildren aged 6 to 15 years will take part in the festival. The final participants are the winners of school qualifying tournaments from 33 municipal and urban districts of the region. Teams not only compete in breathing power, but also develop their lungs. Among the tests: a competition in the force of forced exhalation and the speed of moving a tennis ball along a closed chute using the force of breathing.
The event takes place within the framework of the “Strong in Spirit” project with the support of the “Education” national project. 132 schools in the Stavropol region received sets of equipment for breathing training “Duyball-track” and “Duyball-mono”. The new sport has become popular among schoolchildren – activists of the First Movement of the Stavropol Territory.
The “first” actively participated in the duiball competition. It’s really interesting for the guys to compete in lung strength. The competitive moment helps make the simplest breathing exercises more interesting, and a developed respiratory apparatus is, first of all, the health of our younger generation,” notes Ilya Yurchishin, Chairman of the Council of the First Edge Movement.
The birth of a new sport in the region is actively assisted by educational advisers to school directors – “Childhood Navigators”. Already on November 21, the regional ranking of school teams “First. Strong lungs.”
The “Strong in Spirit” project is being implemented by the ANO IRC “Civil Partnership” with the support of the “First Movement”, the ministries of education, youth policy and sports of the Stavropol Territory, as well as the regional resource center of the federal project “Patriotic Education of Citizens of the Russian Federation” of the national project “Education” in the Stavropol Territory .
