The jewel was worn as an amulet

The terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall continues to reap a terrible harvest – the number of not only the dead, but also the missing is growing. 30-year-old Dmitry Bashlykov taught Russian language and literature in one of the Zelenograd schools. Before that he lived and worked in Bryansk. Dmitry’s mother came to Moscow from this city. She is looking for a son who is not on any lists.

Dmitry Bashlykov has always loved music. He played the guitar himself and loved the work of rock bands. According to my mother, he never missed a single concert, both in his native Bryansk and in Moscow. I went to the performance of the Picnic group with my friend Yakov. A little late. I managed to take a few pictures and send them to my mother in Bryansk. I couldn’t put my things in the cloakroom: they were already inviting me into the auditorium and closing the doors. When the shooting started, friends along the wall were making their way out of the hall. But in the confusion, Dmitry fell behind his friend. As a result, Yakov got out, and the teacher disappeared.

“I was invited to an identification parade,” Svetlana Pavlovna, Dmitry Bashlykov’s mother, told MK. – I immediately left Bryansk. Dmitry was not among the dead. At least that’s what I thought. Then, when I left. I replayed what I saw in my head again. What if I simply don’t allow such a thought, my son is among the dead? I called again and asked to check if any of the dead had a ring on their finger?

Dmitry wore the silver ring as an amulet and a teaching prop. When the schoolchildren made noise, he banged them on the table.

“He didn’t take it off day or night.” I put it on my index finger. The ring is simple. Not a signet, something engraved on it. It definitely wasn’t a girl who gave it to me. I bought it myself.

At the request of the mother, forensic experts examined the dead again, but did not find the ring. This gave Svetlana Pavlovna timid hope. Although, according to the woman, everyone who was hospitalized after the terrorist attack has already been identified.

– I will wait for him until the last minute. He is still young, not married. I want to babysit his grandchildren.

Dmitry dreamed of teaching children since childhood. He did well in all subjects, so his mother “pushed” him to become a lawyer or economist. But he chose pedagogy. Worked at a Bryansk school. Then he responded to the invitation of an educational institution in Zelenograd. Moved to be closer to musical and cultural life.

– I am a cleaner, my husband is an electrician. There are no teachers in our family. I don’t know why he chose this specialty,” says Svetlana Pavlovna.

The school 1557 website describes Dmitry Bashlykov as a passionate teacher. The team, like the family, hopes to see the teacher alive.

Perhaps the youngest person to die as a result of the terrorist attack was 9-year-old Yegor from Northern Tushino. The boy went to the concert with his mother. She is still in intensive care in serious condition; her grandmother and Yegor’s younger brother remain at home.
