Governor Vedernikov: there will be no LTE mobile Internet in the Pskov region for five nights

The governor of the Pskov region, Mikhail Vedernikov, said that in the period from January 25 to 30, there will be no LTE mobile Internet in the region at night, and from all telecom operators. According to the official, the outages will be in effect from 23:00 to 6:00 local time.

“In connection with technical work to reconfigure the radio frequency spectrum of transmitting equipment,” Vedernikov explained.

The governor noted that 3G mobile Internet will work, but “it is outdated, and in many territories it simply does not exist,” so “there will be glitches.” He added that for this reason, in particular, it will be difficult to call a taxi through mobile applications and “use ATMs.”
