Regional military registration and enlistment offices will soon receive lists of employees of IT companies who are entitled to a deferment from partial mobilization. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Digital Development Maksut Shadayev. He stated that the Ministry of Digital Development also proposed to extend the deferment to computer science teachers in schools and digital disciplines teachers in universities.
“We hope that in the near future the lists will be released to the regions. The process has been launched and is already in full swing, I hope that we will hear that in the coming days the military registration and enlistment offices have received the lists, ”said Mr. Shadayev at a webinar on the issues of deferral and accreditation of IT companies (TASS quote). He noted that his department, together with the Ministry of Defense, is discussing a reduction in the response time to appeal against a call for mobilization from 30 to 3-5 days.
Maksut Shadayev also said that the Ministry of Digital Development will publish a draft order on Thursday, which will determine the specialties that will be granted benefits. The agency believes that a company can be considered an IT company if 30% of its revenue is related to IT activities.
“I think that tomorrow we will post a draft order for discussion, we will post there areas of activity that we will consider “IT”. On Friday, I want to approve it already,” Maksut Shadayev said.
At the same time, according to the minister, there will be no separate decree or decision on the postponement for IT specialists, as it was provided for students.
September 27 published a list of 195 specialties in the fields of IT and communications, for which a deferment from mobilization is recommended. Since September 27, Gosuslugakh has launched a service for collecting data on employees of accredited IT companies.
