And – human destinies, from which sport is woven. September is the month of birth of MK’s friend Mikhail Gdalyevich Prorovner. Not every fate is so closely intertwined with the history of national sports. He was a basketball coach at Dynamo and an all-Union referee. He was awarded the title of Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Russian Federation. He has repeatedly covered the Olympic Games and World Championships in various sports. He worked for the newspapers “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, “Soviet Patriot”, the magazine “Goalkeeper”, and in the last years of his life he was a columnist for the “Parliamentary Newspaper”.
Mikhail Gdalyevich lived in journalism for 50 years! And continues to live in it today. Because his interviews remain in the history of our sport. He knew how to see a hero in someone who hid from publicity, but was worthy of attention even more than the winner. He knew how to get anyone to talk. Treasured everyone.
