On September 10, the rugby club “Khimik” from Dzerzhinsk played its next home match as part of the PARI-Russian Rugby Championship. The black-and-greens hosted rivals from Kazan “Strela”, who had never lost in the 2023-2024 season and reached the final of the Russian Rugby Cup, defeating “Slava” and “Dynamo” Moscow.

The team from Dzerzhinsk has not yet won in the 2023-2024 season and was able to score only one point, having earned a “protective bonus” in the home match against Moscow “Slava”, where the black-greens were defeated with a score of 12:16, missing a sure chance to get the first victory at the level of the elite division of Russian rugby.

The match against Strela turned into a nightmare and a beating for the hosts. Kazan dominated the field for the entire 80 minutes and inflicted Khimik’s biggest defeat of the 2023-2024 season, winning with a score of 59:0.

In the next official match, the Khimik rugby club will host rivals from Dynamo Moscow at their home arena. The match against the blue and white is scheduled for September 23.
