Social activists demanded that Valery Meladze be deprived of royalties
The famous singer and composer Valery Meladze may be deprived of royalties for listening to his work in Russia. They want to use the money to benefit the state, including to support fighters in the special military operation zone. Mash writes about this.
According to the Telegram channel, Ildar Rezyapov, chairman of the Veterans of Russia movement, approached the State Duma and the Federation Council with a proposal to exempt Meladze from royalties from the Russian Federation. The social activist is confident that this can be done technically if a case is opened against the singer for extremism and the court decides to confiscate his property, including copyrights.
Let us remind you that since February 2022, the performer managed to condemn the SVO, try to make money in the Russian Federation, create a scandal in Dubai, continuing the phrase “Glory to Ukraine,” and come under inspection by the Prosecutor General’s Office.
