Medinsky came to the cinema on the eve of Cosmonautics Day with the Chinese ambassador

Aide to the President of Russia became a guest of the secular premiere of a Chinese film on a space theme

Along with Vladimir Medinsky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China Zhang Hanhui also appeared in the lobby of the cinema. Both guests took a couple of minutes for journalists to take pictures and comment.

Spectators, among whom there were quite a few Chinese moviegoers, noted on the sidelines that representatives of Russia and China adhered to different styles of dress. If the Chinese ambassador was in a strict blue jacket and a snow-white shirt with a red tie, then Medinsky chose a more casual look. He was wearing a thin blue-gray cardigan. Vladimir Rostislavovich said a few words about the Chinese-Russian film friendship. “For the first time on the Russian big screen, a Chinese film is released on the eve of the holiday, this is very symbolic. We need to watch more Chinese cinema, and they watch more of our films, so that we understand each other more. And then the friendship that has historically developed between our peoples will grow and strengthen,” Medinsky shared his thoughts.

The Chinese ambassador did not remain in debt and later read out welcoming words on the stage before the start of the film screening.

“Exactly three weeks ago, Chinese President Xi Jinping made a state visit to the Russian Federation. During the visit, our leaders paid great attention to cooperation between our countries in the humanitarian field. In order to implement the agreement between our leaders, we are ready to present more Chinese films to Russian cinemagoers. In On the eve of Cosmonautics Day, we will organize the premiere of a sci-fi blockbuster to express deep respect to our cosmonauts, to testify to the true feeling of friendship between our peoples and once again confirm the willingness of the Chinese people to live in one breath with the Russian people,” Hanhui summed up.
