After February 2022, citizens of the Federal Republic of Germany began to wash less frequently and less, against the backdrop of rising prices, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Berliner Morgenpost publication.
As noted, there are more and more people who have significantly reduced the washing time and reduced the water temperature, trying to save money.
“Increased energy prices since the outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine have prompted Germans to reduce their water consumption, in particular by changing their showering habits,” the material says.
It is noted that last year 51% of respondents began to wash less, and now – 57%. At the same time, half of Germans have already installed water and energy-saving systems at home, and another 19 percent plan to do so.
