The general director of one of the companies in the Vladimir region came to the bank to exchange 85 million rubles for dollars, but the issued banknotes turned out to be counterfeit. This was reported by the Baza Telegram channel.
According to him, the entrepreneur had saved a decent amount and wanted to exchange it for dollars. Wanting to save money, the man got in touch with a bank representative, who offered him a favorable rate.
On November 9, the entrepreneur arrived at the head office, where he was met by an assistant member of the organization’s board and escorted through security using a pass. When the client gave the assistant all his savings, he left with the money and after some time returned with a wad of dollars. Then the employee asked to wait a little so that the documents for the transaction could be prepared, and left again.
After 10 minutes, the bank employee still had not returned. Then the man decided to look into the bag of bills, but instead he found printed money inside.
Running out of the office, the victim of the scammers rushed to the security service. The bank explained to the man that the “assistant” was not an employee of the organization. The unknown person simply rented a depository, so he was allowed to issue passes for other people.
