Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko said that it is impossible to prohibit remote work from abroad for entire specialties. She believes that the ban can be introduced only for specific companies. She did not give examples of such companies.
The senator suggested creating a registry of companies that have access to personal data, as well as to data “that may affect the security of information, commercial, and so on.” “I believe that there is no need to make a list of certain professions for which tax non-residents will be deprived of the right to work remotely,” Ms. Matvienko said at a press conference (quoted by RIA Novosti).
The fact that Russia may be banned from remote work contracts for a number of specialties, this week reported in the State Duma. It is expected that the government will determine the list of professions whose representatives will not be able to conclude such contracts while abroad.
Senator Andrei Klishas (United Russia) said, which can completely prohibit remote work from abroad for civil servants, transport workers and information security workers. Yesterday, December 20, the head of the Ministry of Digital Development Maksut Shadayev declaredthat it is premature to raise the issue of a complete ban on remote work for IT specialists who left Russia.
