Olympic champion in high jump Maria Lasitskene from Kabardino-Balkaria won second place at the Russian Winter international athletics competition, the press service of the republican government reports.

The competition took place in Moscow. The country’s strongest athletes took part in them. They competed in 12 running and technical disciplines.

Maria Lasitskene showed a result of 1.91 meters. Natalya Spiridonova won with a result of 1.93 meters.

Lasitskene’s next start will be the Victor Alekseev Memorial. It will take place on February 15 in St. Petersburg.
