Kursk authorities announced the amount of compensation for housing damaged by shelling



The government of the Kursk region has developed a procedure for payments to residents whose property was damaged by shelling from Ukraine. According to Governor Roman Starovoit, financial support will be allocated for the purchase or construction of new housing in the region.

The amount of payments, according to Mr. Starovoit, will be calculated based on the total living space and the cost of 1 square meter established for the region. m - 74.05 thousand rubles. “If the cost of the residential premises is less than the established payment, assistance will be provided in the amount specified in the purchase and sale agreement. If the cost of the residential premises turns out to be more than the established payment, then the citizen will be able to add his own funds,” explained Roman Starovoit in his Telegram channel.

Due to attacks from Ukraine, the level of terrorist threat has been increased in the Kursk region and a medium level of response is in effect. Mass events and the use of drones are prohibited in the region. In the spring of this year, the authorities of the Kursk region offered temporary resettlement for residents of border areas, but they refused.

The authorities of the Belgorod region bordering Ukraine are also compensating the real estate of residents affected by the shelling. By the end of summer, according to local authorities, out of 1,755 homeowners who lost their housing, applications for consent to provide new ones were received from 1,481 people.
