Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov, after the report of the head of government in the State Duma, told reporters that the USE is an objective procedure for assessing knowledge. It is not advisable to cancel it, but it can be improved. “If there are proposals (from deputies) to improve the exam, we will consider them,” he promised.

According to Kravtsov, the main goal of the USE is to enable schoolchildren to demonstrate their knowledge and enter a university. In its current form, the Unified State Examination, in his words, is “virtually the same exam that we passed.”

“There are no leaks, there is no USE tourism, more creativity,” the minister said, stressing that the main principle is objectivity.

Speaking to the deputies, Mikhail Mishustin said that all factions asked him to cancel or improve the Unified State Examination. According to the speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, such attention is not accidental: the Unified State Examination is one of the five topics that are of most interest to voters.
