Kislovodsk will be overgrown with sculptures of Cheburashka – News – Society – Kommersant

The administration of Kislovodsk decided to install 12 sculptures of Cheburashka in the resort city. Terms tender, which is reported on the public procurement portal, “sculptural compositions” “for the needs of the resort city” should be placed at the filming locations of the film “Cheburashka”, which was released in early 2023. According to the plan of the mayor’s office, sculptures of a cartoon character ranging in size from 60 cm to 1.5 m will be placed in the filming locations and will become additional objects to attract tourists.

The initial price of the tender is 6.1 million rubles, of which Cheburashki should spend about 3 million 328 thousand rubles on “small sculptural forms”. According to the Kislovodsk mayor’s office, funds for the purchase and installation of sculptures will not come from the city budget, but from the resort fee, which can only be spent on the improvement of tourist infrastructure.

The city authorities are already actively exploiting the cartoon character theme. The administration announced free tours of the filming locations, April 1 was held quest to find Cheburashka’s friends with the awarding of the winners. Metal figures are planned to be placed, among other things, for quests around the city.
