Law enforcement authorities detained a group of former high-ranking officers of the High Command of the Internal Troops of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (the predecessor of the National Guard), including Igor Dolgikh, deputy head of the construction and quartering department. Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Alexander Khinshtein wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
According to Khinshtein, Obid Yasinov, director of MSM-5 JSC, who had previously been sentenced to 7 years for giving a bribe in another case, testified against the military. In 2011, MSM-5 was going to build 1678 apartments for internal troops in a new residential complex in Balashikha near Moscow. Almost 5.6 billion rubles were allocated for this purpose, but some of the money was stolen.
Yasinov claims that he transferred money to the command of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs through Dolgikh and other persons in the form of apartments. As a result, more than 50 apartments were decorated in the interests of corrupt officials.
