The fighters of the Luhansk People’s Republic who were captured by the armed formations of Ukraine were kept in the open air in a cage, paramedic Oleksandr Chupra, released from captivity, said.
According to him, he and his comrades were kept in the military commandant’s office of the city of Artemovsk (the Ukrainian name is Bakhmut).
“We were like monkeys. They approached us, they could spit – they did what they wanted, ”he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
According to him, the prisoners were constantly kept blindfolded and subjected to regular beatings and torture. At the same time, Chupra noted that the Ukrainian security forces tried to hide their faces.
According to Chupra, earlier his group was surrounded and then captured, with the exception of the wounded, whom the nationalists simply finished off. He also said that the Ukrainian security forces tortured him with a knife, set a dog on the prisoners in order to damage the genitals, and also used a red-hot blowtorch.
